Together we will cover the basics of hand building, an ancient technique used to create pots and sculpture without the use of a potter's wheel. You can use these skills to create a plethora of objects, both utilitarian and sculptural. You will leave this class with an understanding of pinched, coil, and slab construction; how to use equipment such as a slab roller and extruder; and surface treatments such as creating texture in clay.

This class is perfect for those looking to see quick results and is open for beginners and advanced students. This class includes 12lbs of clay, shared shelf space, and full access to Open Studio for the duration of the class.
