Flower Arrangement: Installations

with Rebecca Cossa

Saturday, July 10

9 - 11am

One meeting, in person

Glebe House Outdoor Garden, 635 Main Street

Flowers are an integral part of bringing pleasure to our lives in many ways. The colors, meanings, and arrangements of flowers set the tone, bring energy to a space, and a certain amount of sophistication, whether it be a wedding or a dinner table.

Learning how to create your own arrangements is an empowering, stress-relieving, creative activity that satiates the need to express as well as connect with nature, and provides beauty and pride to enjoy long after. When planning an event, floral design provides a personal and meaningful touch to the celebration. All workshops in this series can assist people planning weddings and other events on a large or small scale or who just want to learn a new skill and enjoy themselves.

In this workshop, participants will learn about the large scale arrangements and work in teams to design 4 sides of an outdoor canopy. Skills can be applied to archways and hupas. After completed, participants will break down the design and bring flowers home to design on their own.
