D.I.Y. Grocery Tote

In this one-day workshop, particpants will design and construct their own grocery tote bag. The instructor will cover basic pattern-making and hand-sewing techniques. Optional kit includes 1 yard fabric, a spool thread, a needle and chalk.
 
About Mahdiyyah Muhammad: 
Mahdiyyah is a self-taught designer form East Orange, NJ who started designing at the age of 8. Since then, she has started her own youth sewing program and taught sewing at the Harlem Children's Zone and the West Side Community Center. See more of her work at Mahdiyyah.co
