Letter from our Interim Executive Director
2020 has been a year of significant challenge and change. I am incredibly proud of how our creative community has risen to the occasion and adapted to meet these circumstances. Fall Kill Creative Works closed its physical doors on March 13th, but immediately shifted gears to think of creative ways to allow our community to stay connected and feel supported. Our weekly Remote Open Studio program was launched the following Friday afternoon, and it continues to run today. We’ve welcomed over 375 visitors to our remote programming, and it’s enabled us to both continue to inspire makers and employ teaching artists during this time of oppressive uncertainty.
Hands-on craft education is empowering for the people of Poughkeepsie and our surrounding communities. We hope you’ll consider supporting us this year though a sponsorship or donation.
