Remote Open Studio: Sharon Alexander

Sharon will demonstrate Monotype Printmaking using a gelatin plate. This process involves hand printing, therefore a press is not used. After the print is created she will do a second print, a Trace Monotype on top. Sharon is self taught and finds hand-printing accessible to anyone!

About the Event

During our coronavirus closure, the Works will be offering open hours twice a week, Wednesday 4-6, Friday 12-2. Remote Open Studio will be hosted by a rotating group of Works staff, instructors, and local artists.

These sessions are not classes, rather they are a community space for makers to work on projects together. Hosts may give tours of their studios and demonstrations of their processes, while creating work and holding space for our community to gather and support one another. Join our zoom meeting with a project to work on (think: knitting, collage, drawing, painting, ceramics, sewing, poetry, daydreaming, sculpture, or cuddling your cat).

This is a casual, social event. You are welcome to stay for the whole time, or drop in for just a little while.
