Remote Open Studio: Elizabeth Melnyczuk

Liz’s work is highly influenced by her surroundings- whether working in a professional printing studio or her home quarantine work table. A sense of home is ever present in her works depicting wild flowers, suburban infrastructure, and interiors. During this event she will be printing linocuts.

About the Event

During our coronavirus closure, the Works will be offering open hours twice a week, Wednesday 4-6, Friday 12-2. Remote Open Studio will be hosted by a rotating group of Works staff, instructors, and local artists.

These sessions are not classes, rather they are a community space for makers to work on projects together. Hosts may give tours of their studios and demonstrations of their processes, while creating work and holding space for our community to gather and support one another. Join our zoom meeting with a project to work on (think: knitting, collage, drawing, painting, ceramics, sewing, poetry, daydreaming, sculpture, or cuddling your cat).

This is a casual, social event. You are welcome to stay for the whole time, or drop in for just a little while.
