Curbside Firing Service Now Available!
Instructions for participating in Fall Kill Creative Works’ curbside firings:
Use the digital firing fee worksheet to calculate your fee.
Email the completed firing fee worksheet to Jessica Murphy at Programs@FallKillCreativeWorks.org. Once your form is received, we will email an invoice for the exact amount of your fee.
Pay your invoice and sign up for your drop-off and pick-up time slots. You will be able to pay the invoice online with a credit card. Drop off and pick-up times are available Wednesdays between 5-7 pm or Saturdays between 9-11 am. Time slots are scheduled in 10-minute windows.
Drop off your pottery during your designated time slot. Place your work on the table just inside the door to the clay studio at 485 Main Street. Staff will wear gloves when loading and unloading kilns.
Pick up your pottery during your designated time slot. Work will be ready for pick-up on a table inside the door to the clay studio at 485 Main Street. You will have already signed up for your pick-up time; if you don't remember or miss your time please contact us. Our pick-up procedure will work just like the drop-off procedure but in reverse. Staff will still wear gloves, and we recommend that you do as well.
At this time we do not have the ability to allow anyone into the studio to use our glazes on site, but hope to be able to do so by appointment in the near future. We will have studio glazes for sale for $10/pint starting June 20th.
You may also use any commercial glazes, but make sure they are mid-range, or cone 6. (Please, no low fire or cone 06 glazes!)
Email Jessica Murphy at Programs@FallKillCreativeWorks.org with any questions.
