FALL KILL CREATIVE WORKS
Fall Kill Creative Works was founded in 2010 as the Mid-Hudson Heritage Center to revitalize the Main Street corridor of the City of Poughkeepsie. Our mission is to foster connection and celebrate community by sharing our stories and creating together. We do this through our studios in multiple locations downtown and through our Studio to Go program. Clay Works is located at Art Centro, 485 Main Street. Print Works is on the second floor of the Poughkeepsie Underwear factory at 8 North Cherry Street. Story Works and Textile Works operate out of the Historic Glebe House at 635 Main Street. Across these locations and in collaboration with local non-profits, arts, and community groups, we offer art exhibits, lectures, films, meeting space, food distribution, musical events, plays, and concerts. Notably, we offer regular classes and workshops in fine craft and design, including clay, print, textiles, and drawing.

Our ceramic studio has a spacious, bright, well-equipped ceramics studio with 10 wheels, two large hand-building tables, an extruder, and three kilns. Story Works/ Textile Works
Fall Kill Story Works is located in the Glebe House, which is a local history center and gallery space located at 635 Main Street, at the eastern reaches of the Middle Main neighborhood of downtown Poughkeepsie. The National Historic Registry listed property is owned by the City of Poughkeepsie and managed by Fall Kill Creative Works.
We offer topical temporary exhibits on the history of Poughkeepsie and its residents. A timeline on the 300+ year history of the city is currently under development. Local textile artists meet regularly at the Glebe House to share knowledge, fellowship, and yarns. A pollinator garden and a dye garden have been planted in the backyard. The site is available for meetings and events and is open by appointment at this time.
